Create and Place

Create + Place is a project that aims to promote, support and celebrate creative activities, arts projects and supports community-based events in Halcon and Priorswood, East and North Taunton, increasing access and participation in the arts for everyone. 

Fuse works in partnership  with Somerset West and Taunton Council and Somerset Art Works.

Fuse has creatively produced projects and events in East and North Taunton since 2009 working together with local people, volunteers, young people, The Link Community Centre, Priorswood Resource Centre, North and East Taunton One Teams, Somerset Art Works, Somerset Film, All About Capture and associate artists Annie Jeffs, Rac helped Gundry, Sarah Butterworth, Sophie Courtier, 

Fuse Create and Place Projects  have included  ‘Arts for All Ages’,  Pop up events, Streetlinkz Creative Communities. Fuse  Winter Light events including the Create and Place Nocturnal Nightlights Window Wanderland.

Associated Fuse projects include The Art Cafe, FEAST-Fun Food Sculpture workshops, The Community Orchard, inspired from Stories from Lane Estate, Community Garden sculpture workshops, Halloween and Lighting Up events, Creative Communities Under Lockdown projects, facilitated and supported the East Taunton mural projects.

Children, young people and families have been creating incredible arts, developing personal creativity and helping shape the place in which they live, work and play.
