This is Fuse Somerset Outdoor Arts privacy policy and sets out how Fuse uses and protects information that you may give us.  Is a not for profit arts organization and is based in Somerset, UK. As an arts organization, Fuse produces and makes projects, festivals, events, performances for outdoor and indoor spaces. It also offers bespoke training and commissions to emergent artists and works with local artists and companies. With local council support, it provides arts workshops for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We want to make the arts accessible to all.

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

• name, job title, profession
• contact information including email address
• demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
• other information relevant to specific arts disciplines

What we do with the information we collect 

Fuse hosts festival, youth and community web sites, facebook pages, twitter and Instagram accounts. People are asked to sign up to a newsletter. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for arts related purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, mail or direct message via Social Media..

When you become a supporter, volunteer or a sponsor or involved in an art project or activity such as EMERGE, Festival commissions or you provide an activity, a stall or are a vendor or supplier.  We will store personal data you give us such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number. When you visit our website and social media sites, we automatically collect information about how you interact with our content and adverts, to monitor and improve our digital communication

Removing your personal data

We  respect customers interests, fundamental rights and freedoms. You have the right to ask for your personal data to be removed from our database at any time. If you wish to do this, please use the contact details at the end of this policy. Please bear in mind, however, that if you request to have your data removed it will affect our ability to carry out tasks that are for your benefit e.g. to contact you if an event is cancelled or to notify you of commissions or opportunities.

We don’t sell or share your personal data

We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the visitors to our web site and newsletter subscribers. We want you to know that Fuse is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other organisations for marketing purposes. We will never do that. Mail Chimp

We use Mailchimp newsletter to let you know about our projects, festivals, events, performances and to let you know what Fuse is doing and how you can join in if you wish. So, when you subscribe to our e-newsletter on our website, we collect a limited amount of personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations or businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to our e-news mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our e-newletters – the option is always there (but of course we would like you to stay!).

Eventbrite

Most of Fuse events are free, but sometimes we need to know how many people are coming and sometimes we need to charge for events. We use Eventbrite to advertise our events and collect ticket money where appropriate. When you purchase a ticket online your name, postcode data, email and contact number will be stored. You can of course purchase a ticket in person without supplying any personal data at all.

Why else do we collect data?

Funders

Because Fuse is a publicly funded organisation, we may share anonymised personal information with our funders, including Arts Council England. Arts Council use this data to analyse our audience development programmes, ticket sales (if applicable) and self-generated funding to understand the impact of the public investment made in Fuse

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting.

We have the right to amend and update this policy from time-to-time, to fully comply with changes in legislation.
