Somerfest

Somerfest was a commissioned event by Taunton Deane Borough Council. Fuse worked together within different cultural partnerships between 2012 and 2014 . Somerfest is a legacy event from the cultural olympiads.

Between 2015 and 2019 Fuse was awarded the commission to take Somerfest forward to become a regional and diverse vibrant outdoor festival. 

Programming over seven outdoor areas across the town centre and working together with communities and the Somerset Wildlife Trust, Routes to the River Tone.  Fuse created  river parades as part of Somerfest. Helping to raise awareness of wildlife conservation and wildlife route ways across Taunton. 

Fuseperformance brought their world of outdoor arts, circus and  street arts, nature conservation, music and celebratory arts  to Taunton. With thanks to TDBC and with support from Arts Council England for Fuse arts projects and events across the region and also local business sponsorships. Somerfest flourished. 

Somerfest,  celebrated community,  nature, culture and diversity.  A vibrant regional outdoor free festival with an inclusive community and education programme for all to enjoy.
