Bridgwater Quayside Festival 2023

Bridgwater Quayside Festival 2023 had a  jam packed programme of live music, with RSVP Bhangra, Clashnikovs, The Kahunas, Big Noise Street Band, Jon Maybey, Claude Sandiford, Chloe Marie Aston, Duo Da Camera plus DJ artists from Roller DisGoat and the Powell Bros.

 Seed Sedgemoor brought the Tent of Wonders to the High Street and there was a  variety of food, drink, arts, crafts stalls along the High St leading to the Engine Room where the giant monster Berzerker was placed on the roof top linking to the Library to host a animation sound station for the  monster noises.

FREE outdoor shows  took place with international hula hoop star Angie Mack, plus Ben Cornish and Merlin Cadogan fabulous street theatre shows.

Picnic in the Park was in Blake Gardens with free family circus spectacle Cirque de Silk, Little Big Top workshops and Bowlore bringing the past to life with traditional medieval reenactment games for all to enjoy.  Lots of free activities. 

The carnival put on a fab fete in Cranleigh Gardens with the Lime Kiln Carnival crew who also help with crewing and stewarding. 

Along West Quay,  which was once an ancient port  was the  Festival eco arts trail which also took place across the town. 

The Bridgwater Cultural Partnership venues were open through out the town.  Quayside was a festival commission by Sedgemoor District Council ( Somerset Council) 2017 to 2023. Fuse  brought the streets and town centre alive with outdoor arts, music stage, performances,  puppetry, dance,  food , drink, stalls, circus and street arts. 2024 will bring something different to the streets of Bridgwater with the animating town grants programme and legacy events of the Bridgwater Quayside Festival.
