Artists Commission PAID Opportunity
Fuse Performance + Somerset Outdoor Arts are offering two Sedgemoor / Somerset based artists or art groups an exciting opportunity to create or develop a performance/production/installation for the Bridgwater Quayside Festival on July 10th in the centre and/or community spaces of Bridgwater. The festival this year is looking for work based on themes of the environment and climate change.
We would like the audience to engage and enjoy your work in short interactions when they or you are On the Move: a walkabout performance, an outdoor installation, digital interactive, walking costumes/carts, dance and music on the move, recycled junk creations, sound art, writing for the street, spoken word a song and combined arts.
We would like you to help us animate the streets and parks at the Festival.
Offer the commissions to local Sedgemoor/ Somerset artists, musicians and performers
Fuse Performance + Somerset Outdoor Arts will offer £800 per commission
We will also offer:
- guidance and support researching areas in and around the town
- Supported performances/productions/art works at the festival with associated mixed-media marketing and promotion.
- Support from experienced mentors
- You must be:
- Somerset based
- aged 18+
- be developing your own practice in Sedgemoor or Somerset
- have public liability insurance
- be an artist with a body of work or practice
